Join us at the Mill Inn with views of Aldeburgh beach. Our historic building dates back to the 16th Century and was originally in the heart of the town. Over the past four centuries the changing seascape and the natural coastal erosion has seen parts of the town lost to the sea and now the Mill Inn stands proudly directly opposite the beach front. With plenty of old world charm, its beams and leaded windows take you back to the days when this was once the haunt of local smugglers, who plied their trade the length of the Heritage Coast.

Today the Mill Inn is a warm and friendly Suffolk Inn with hosts Sue and Dennis Peel whose customers are a mix of local people and visitors, many of them happy to return for the generous sized meals and comfortable rooms with views of the beachfront

The very best reason for visiting however is to sample the freshly caught seafood, landed each morning, on the beach opposite.
